TUUI is a free, open-source desktop chat app for Windows, macOS and Linux that talks to whichever model provider you already pay for — ChatGPT, Claude, Qwen, OpenRouter and others — and lets you attach MCP tool servers to any of them. You bring your own provider key and paste it into the app's settings; there is no TUUI account to create. It can also browse the public MCP registry to find new servers, and it works with the tools, saved prompts and files those servers offer.

Which computers does it run on?
Windows, macOS and Linux. Download the installer from the project's releases page and run it.
Do I need an account?
Not with TUUI. You do need a key from a model provider such as ChatGPT, Claude, Qwen or OpenRouter, pasted into the app's settings.
Can I use this to try out an MCP server before adding it to my main assistant?
Yes — add the server in the app, switch it on for a chat, and you can also discover servers through the public MCP registry.
How hard is setup?
Download and run the app, then paste a small settings block containing your provider address, model name and key.
Do I need anything else installed?
Only for certain tool servers — Node.js for the ones launched with npx, Python and uv for others, Docker for a few.
Is it free?
The app itself is open source and free. You still pay your model provider for whatever you use.
