The interface is in Chinese, and the built-in instructions have been rewritten so Chinese-language models such as DeepSeek answer more sensibly and wait less. Install it from the VS Code extension marketplace and bring your own model account. Worth knowing: maintenance moved in July 2026 to a new home at SSYCloud/cline-chinese, where updates now land.

Which app does this run in?

VS Code. It installs from the extension marketplace like any other extension.

Do I need a key?

Not for this project itself, but you bring your own model account; the author reports good results with DeepSeek models.

Can I use this to write code by asking in Chinese?

Yes — the menus and the assistant's own internal instructions are both in Chinese, which is the whole point of the fork.

Is it still maintained?

Yes, but at a new address. The project handed over to the SSYCloud team in July 2026 and updates now go to their repository.

How is it different from the original Cline?

Same tool underneath. It follows official Cline releases and adds Chinese menus plus reworded instructions tuned for Chinese-language models.

Does it collect my code?

The project states it stores no user data, though whichever model provider you use still sees what you send it.

How hard is setup?

Install from the marketplace, then fill in your model account details — nothing to build or compile.
