Halo is a desktop app that puts an AI worker on your own machine. It can write and edit files, browse real websites for you, and run jobs on a schedule so routine work happens overnight. You check in from your phone or a chat app to see progress or redirect it. Everything runs locally rather than in the cloud. You bring your own account for whichever AI engine you connect, such as Claude Code or Codex.

hello-halo FAQ

Can I use this to run tasks while I'm away from my desk?
Yes — you can set jobs to run on a schedule and check progress later from your phone or a chat app.
Do I need my own AI account to use it?
Yes, you connect your own engine such as Claude Code or Codex, so you need an account and key for whichever one you pick.
Does my work get sent to someone else's servers?
No, Halo is built to run on your own machine, which is the point for people handling private or company material.
Can I use this to click through a website for me?
Yes — it has a built-in browser it can drive, so it can open pages, fill forms, and pull information without you clicking.
Is it easy to set up if I'm not technical?
Not especially. You install a desktop app and connect an AI account with a key, so expect some fiddling on first run.
What computers does it run on?
It works on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and there is a web version as well.
