LiveAgent

MCP.Pizza Chef: Stack-Cairn

This is a standalone desktop application for Windows, Mac, and Linux that puts an AI assistant to work directly on your computer, letting it read and edit files, run terminal commands, and keep an eye on long-running programs like a dev server. You bring your own key for Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini, and can connect it to other tools through the Model Context Protocol. A built-in web dashboard, called the Gateway, lets you check in and give it new instructions from your phone or any browser when you're away from your desk.

LiveAgent FAQ

Do I need an account or API key to use this?
Yes — you will need your own key from an AI provider such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini, since LiveAgent does not include one.
Which apps does this work with?
LiveAgent is its own desktop app for Windows, Mac, and Linux, so you do not need Claude Desktop, Cursor, or ChatGPT — you open LiveAgent itself and pick which AI model you want to talk to.
Can I use this to edit files and run commands on my computer?
Yes — the AI can read, write, and edit files directly, run terminal commands, and keep track of longer jobs like a development server running in the background.
Can I use this to check on my AI assistant while I'm away from my computer?
Yes — turning on the built-in Gateway feature gives you a web page you can open from your phone or any other computer's browser to see what the assistant is doing and send it new instructions.
How hard is it to set up?
You download an installer for your operating system, open it, and add your API key in the settings — no coding knowledge is required to get started.
Does it work on my computer?
It runs on Mac (both Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows, and Linux, though Windows and Linux may need a small free extra component installed first (Microsoft's WebView2 or WebKitGTK).
Can it remember things between conversations?
Yes — it keeps notes and a searchable history so it can recall earlier work in later sessions instead of starting over each time.
Can I add extra tools or abilities to it?
Yes — it can connect to outside tools and services through the Model Context Protocol, and it supports add-on "Skills" packages that give it new abilities on demand.
