MCP.Pizza Chef: microclaw

You install and run this on your own computer or server, then it shows up as a chatbot inside apps like Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, and Signal, or in its own simple web chat window. It remembers past conversations, can be given ongoing or scheduled tasks (like a daily summary or a reminder), and connects to your choice of AI provider — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or a locally run model — using your own account or API key. Setting it up requires running a few commands in a terminal.

MicroClaw

One dependable agent runtime for every conversation surface.
Tools, memory, scheduled work, skills, MCP, subagents, and a local control plane—shared across chat, web, and agent protocols.

Quick start · Why MicroClaw · Capabilities · Documentation

MicroClaw is a self-hosted Rust agent runtime. One channel-independent agent loop and one provider-independent LLM layer power Telegram, Discord, Slack, Feishu/Lark, Web, and other adapters without duplicating behavior at each boundary.

It is designed for work that lasts longer than one request: multi-step tool use, resumable sessions, durable delivery, persistent memory, scheduled tasks, and governed extensions all run in the same runtime.

microclaw FAQ

Do I need to know how to code to set this up?
You do not need to write code, but you will need to run a few commands in a terminal to install and configure it, so some comfort with basic computer tasks helps.
Which apps can I chat with it in?
It can run inside Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, and several other messaging apps, plus its own simple web chat window in your browser.
Do I need an account with an AI company?
Yes — you connect it to your own account with an AI provider such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, or you can point it at a model running on your own computer.
Can I use this to get reminders on a schedule?
Yes — you can set up recurring tasks, like a daily summary or a weekly reminder, and it will deliver them automatically.
Does it remember what we talked about before?
Yes — it keeps a memory of past conversations so you do not have to repeat context every time.
Is this free to use?
The program itself is free and open source, but you still pay your AI provider for the conversations it has, and you need a computer or server to keep it running.
Can I use this to automate research tasks?
Yes — you can hand it a multi-step research or writing task and it will keep working, using tools like web search, until it is done.
How hard is it to install?
It takes more setup than a typical chat app — you run an install command in a terminal and then a short setup wizard, which is more involved than simply clicking "add" inside a chat app.
