MCP.Pizza Chef: can1357

This tool lives in your computer's command-line window and acts like a full-time programming partner: it reads your project's files, edits code across multiple files at once, renames symbols the way a code editor would, and can attach a real debugger to step through a crash. It runs alongside editors like VS Code or Cursor as its own terminal application, and connects to many different AI models so you can pick one that fits your budget. Setup happens through a terminal install command, and you will need an account with an AI provider such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini.

oh-my-pi FAQ

Can I use this to fix bugs in my code automatically?
Yes — describe the problem and it will look through your files, find the likely cause, and make the edit for you, checking its own work as it goes.
Can I use this to rename something across my whole project?
Yes — it uses the same understanding your code editor has, so it updates every file that references the old name, not just the one you're looking at.
Do I need an account with an AI company to use this?
Yes — you'll need an account and access key with at least one AI provider, such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini, since this tool sends your requests to one of those services to do the thinking.
Does this work inside apps like VS Code or Cursor?
No — it runs on its own in your command-line window, alongside whatever code editor you already use, rather than as a plugin inside one.
How hard is it to set up?
You'll need to be comfortable typing a command into a terminal window. There's a one-line install for Mac, Linux, and Windows, but this is built for people who already use the command line, not a point-and-click install.
Is this free to use?
The tool itself is free and open, but you pay whichever AI provider you connect it to (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, and others) for the actual thinking it does on your behalf.
Can it run and test code, not just write it?
Yes — it can execute code directly, including Python, and use the results to check whether its own changes actually worked.
Does it work with more than one programming language?
Yes — it plugs into your project's existing language tools, so it can work across many different programming languages, not just one.
