Dive FAQ
Which computers can run it?
Windows, Mac, and Linux. Windows and Linux also have a lighter build with a much smaller download.
Do I need a key?
You bring your own model, so a key for ChatGPT or another provider. Local models through Ollama avoid that.
How hard is setup?
Download and install. On Mac and Linux you also need Node and Python present before tools will run; Windows fetches them for you.
Can I use this to run MCP tools without touching config files?
Yes — a built-in helper agent installs and sets up servers for you, and there is a one-click cloud option as well.
Can it work with files on my computer?
Yes. File reading and writing, web fetching, and command running are included out of the box.
Is it free?
The app is open source under the MIT licence. The optional managed cloud service is a separate signup.
