Vibe-Research is a self-hosted dashboard for researching Chinese A-share, US, and Hong Kong stocks. It pulls together daily market recaps, breaking news from over a hundred sources, company financials, valuation history, and fund flow data into one screen, then lets your own AI assistant — Claude Code, Gemini, or another provider you connect — analyze it, debate the bull and bear case, or answer your questions. You run it on your own computer, connect an AI account or provider key of your choice, and your data stays local instead of being sent to Vibe-Research itself.

Can I use this to track stocks I already own?
Yes — the "My Holdings" page lets you log your positions and see live profit and loss without linking a brokerage account.
Can I use this to get a quick summary of today's market news?
Yes — the news page pulls from over a hundred public sources across twelve industries and can boil the day down to a short list of highlights for you.
Do I need an account or a special key to use this?
You need either a subscription you already have with an AI assistant, such as being logged into Claude Code, or a developer key from a provider like OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini. Vibe-Research itself does not require a separate signup.
Which AI apps does this work with?
It is built to plug into Claude Code, and it can also connect to Gemini, OpenAI, or other compatible AI tools if you provide a developer key.
How hard is this to set up?
It takes some comfort with the command line. You will run a couple of install commands to start a backend service and a web page on your own computer, so it suits someone willing to follow written setup steps rather than a true one-click install.
Does my portfolio and research data get uploaded anywhere?
No — your holdings, uploaded research reports, and notes are stored only on your own computer, not sent to an outside server.
Can this tell me whether to buy or sell a stock?
No — it deliberately avoids giving buy or sell advice. It gathers the data and lets your own AI form an opinion, and even its built-in bull-versus-bear debate feature stops short of a final verdict.
Does it only cover Chinese stocks, or also US and Hong Kong stocks?
It covers all three. Chinese A-shares are the main focus, but US and Hong Kong stocks, plus South Korean stock quotes, are supported too.
