MCP.Pizza Chef: nulab

Nulab's own add-on for its Backlog project tracker covers 57 separate actions spanning projects, issues, comments, milestones, wiki pages, documents, code repositories, pull requests, and your notifications. Because it can create, edit, and delete as well as read, an assistant really can close out a ticket or spin up a whole project, which is worth remembering before you point it at a live team workspace. You will need a Backlog account, your space address, and a personal key from your settings.

backlog-mcp-server FAQ

Do I need a Backlog account?
Yes, and a personal key. Open your personal settings in Backlog, generate a key, then paste it and your space address into the setup once.
Can I use this to create and close tickets?
Yes. Unlike many add-ons this one writes as well as reads, so it can create, edit, and delete issues, projects, milestones, and wiki pages.
Which apps does it work in?
Nulab's instructions cover Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Cline, and it works in any other app that accepts MCP add-ons.
Is it safe to point at my team's real workspace?
Be careful. Deletion tools are included, so switch on only the groups of tools you actually need and try it on a test project first.
How hard is the setup?
You paste a short config block that starts it through Docker or Node, then fill in your space address and key. No coding involved.
Does it cost extra?
No. It is free and open source from Backlog's own maker; you just need a Backlog plan that lets you generate a personal key.
Can I limit what it is allowed to touch?
Yes. You can enable only the groups you want, such as issues and wiki pages, and leave out repositories or space settings.
