MCP.Pizza Chef: antonpk1

Four small tools do the whole job: make a key pair, combine your key with someone else's to agree a shared secret, then lock and unlock short messages using it. This was built as a demonstration for GibberLink, where two assistants chat to each other in sound, and it shows. Anything longer than 66 characters is silently cut off, and the key-making tool hands back the private key even though the readme says it does not. Nothing has changed since March 2025.

README

Tiny Cryptography MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol server built with Express.js that provides cryptographic tools including key pair generation, shared secret derivation, and message encryption/decryption.

Now available at: http://104.248.174.57/sse

Powered by Stanford Javascript Crypto Library (SJCL)

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that defines how AI models and tools communicate. It enables seamless interoperability between language models and external capabilities, allowing AI systems to use tools more effectively. MCP standardizes the way models request information and actions, making it easier to build complex AI applications with multiple components.

Features

  • Generate SJCL P-256 key pairs
  • Derive shared secrets for secure communication
  • Encrypt messages using SJCL AES-CCM
  • Decrypt encrypted messages
  • Server-sent events (SSE) for real-time communication

gibber-mcp FAQ

Do I need a key or an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. A ready-made copy already runs at a public web address, or you can download and run your own.
Can I use this to send someone a genuinely private message?
Only as an experiment. Messages are cut off after 66 characters, the shared copy runs over an unencrypted connection at a bare numeric address, and nobody has reviewed the code for safety.
Does it really keep the private key hidden?
No. The readme claims the key-making tool never reveals the private key, but it returns the whole key pair and merely asks the assistant not to repeat it. Treat that claim as wrong.
How hard is it to set up?
Awkward. There is no ready-to-paste settings block anywhere in the project. You either point your app at the shared web address or download the project and run it yourself.
Which apps does it work in?
Only apps that can connect to a remote MCP address in the older streaming style. Newer apps that expect the current connection method may refuse it outright.
Is it still being maintained?
No. The last change was March 2025, and it was published as a proof of concept rather than something meant for daily use.
