Setup

MCP Serverの設定（Cursor、Claude Desktop）を参考に、mcp.jsonまたはclaude_desktop_config.jsonに以下を追記してください。
LAPRAS_API_KEYは職歴関連のツールを使う場合のみ必要です。https://lapras.com/config/api-key から取得できます。

Desktop Extension (DXT)

Claude Desktopを使用している場合、Desktop Extension（.dxtファイル）を使って簡単にインストールできます。

  1. リリースページから最新のlapras-mcp-server.dxtをダウンロード
  2. Claude Desktopの設定画面を開く
  3. ダウンロードした.dxtファイルを設定画面にドラッグ＆ドロップ
  4. 必要に応じてLAPRAS_API_KEYを設定（LAPRAS_API_KEYを設定後はMCPの有効・無効の設定をトグルしてください）

Do I need a key to use it?
Only for the profile tools. Job search and job details work with nothing set up. The ten profile tools need a personal key you generate at lapras.com/config/api-key.
Can I use this to look for a job in Japan?
Yes — search by keyword, role, programming language, work location, and minimum salary, then open any listing in full.
Which apps does it work in?
Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Gemini CLI. Claude Desktop users can drag in a ready-made extension file instead of editing settings by hand.
Is it in English?
Only partly. The setup notes and many replies are Japanese. Your assistant will translate as it goes, but expect Japanese text in the raw results.
Can it delete things?
Yes. One tool removes a work-history entry the moment it is called, with no confirmation and no read-only setting. Ask to see the entry before you agree to remove it.
Where does my personal information go?
Anything pulled from your profile is sent to whichever AI service you are chatting with. LAPRAS flags this itself and asks you to check that service's data policy.
Is it still maintained?
Yes. LAPRAS publishes it as an official tool and was still updating it in mid-2026.
