This project has been archived by its owners and should not be installed. It once let an assistant check wallet balances, move funds, and look up activity on Base, the network run by Coinbase. The published package is now marked as deprecated, so the install commands printed in older guides will not give you anything safe to run. Base instead points people to its own written guides for building agents that handle payments and trading.

Is this still maintained?

No. The repository is archived and the published package is marked deprecated. Base directs people to its own agent guides at docs.base.org/ai-agents.

Should I install it anyway?

No. The authors explicitly ask people not to run the old install commands.

Is there a direct replacement?

Base has not named a single successor project, only its own documentation and quickstarts for payments and trading.

Can I use this to send crypto from a chat window?

Not any more. That was the original idea, but the project was retired before it got there.

Was it free?

The code was open source, but it needed your own Coinbase credentials and real funds to do anything useful.
