MCP.Pizza Chef: cswkim

Fifty-three tools reach into the Discogs music database and your own account: search releases, artists and labels, read community ratings, and browse your collection, wantlist, orders and inventory. It also writes — adding records to folders, editing ratings, and creating or deleting marketplace listings — with no confirmation step and no read-only mode, so a loosely worded request can change real data. A personal access token from your Discogs developer settings is required; the server refuses to start without one.

Quickstart

If you just want to get started immediately using this MCP Server with the Claude desktop app and don't care about development or running the server yourself, then make sure you have Node.js installed and your Discogs personal access token ready and skip straight to the Claude configuration section. Use the NPX method from that section.

discogs-mcp-server FAQ

Do I need an account or a key?
Yes. You need a free Discogs account and a personal access token from Settings then Developers; the server will not start without it.
Can I use this to manage my record collection?
Yes. It can add records to folders, move them, rate them, edit custom fields and remove them again.
Can it change or delete things by accident?
Yes. Deletes and edits run the moment they are requested, with no confirmation prompt and no read-only mode to fall back on.
Can it sell records for me?
It can create, edit and delete marketplace listings and message buyers, so real money and real reputation are on the line.
Which apps does it work in?
The project documents Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, LibreChat and LM Studio, all using the same short config block.
How hard is the setup?
You install Node.js, then paste a few lines with your token into your app's settings file. No coding required.
Is it still being maintained?
Yes. The code was last updated in July 2026 and carries an MIT licence, so workplace use is fine.
Why do I only get a handful of results?
It asks for five items per page by default to avoid overwhelming chat apps. Ask for more in your message and it will request more.
