MCP.Pizza Chef: disruption-hub

This is a code helper for developers building with Payload CMS 3, and it writes text rather than touching a live site: it can draft collection, field, hook and project files and flag common mistakes, but it never reads or changes the content in your CMS. Eight tools are registered, one of them a leftover test echo. Setup is genuinely involved, because you deploy your own copy to Railway and supply a Redis connection before anything works. The code has not been updated since March 2025.

payloadcmsmcp FAQ

Is this project still being worked on?
It looks dormant. The last code change was in March 2025, so treat it as unmaintained and expect no fixes for newer Payload releases.
Do I need to sign up or pay for anything?
There is no product key to buy, but you do need a Railway account and token to host your own copy, plus a Redis connection string, or the server refuses to start.
Can it read or change the content on my live Payload site?
No. Every tool only produces or inspects code text in the chat. It never touches your database or your published pages.
The README shows a database-style example query about field types. Does that work?
No. The code recognises only one table, the built-in list of validation rules. The example in the README points at a table that does not exist and simply returns an error.
Which apps does it work in?
The instructions cover Cursor. Any assistant that can launch a command should work once you have your own copy running.
Is installing it easy?
Not really. You need Node, a Railway account, the Railway command-line tool and a Redis service, so plan on developer help.
Can I use this to start a whole new Payload project?
Yes, it will lay out the files and folders for you, but you still create the project, install it and run it yourself.
