MCP.Pizza Chef: paypal

PayPal's own toolkit powers a connector that hands your assistant 36 tools over your merchant account: draft and send invoices, chase reminders, list transactions, look up an order, issue a refund, cancel a subscription, and review or accept a dispute. These are real actions on a real account, not previews. It starts in PayPal's test mode, so nothing touches actual money until you switch it over. You supply a sign-in token that PayPal only issues for a few hours at a time.

agent-toolkit FAQ

Do I need an API key?
Yes, of a sort. You need a PayPal Business account, a developer app registered against it, and then a short-lived sign-in token generated from that app's id and secret.
Will it move real money?
Not at first. It starts in PayPal's test mode by default and only touches your live account if you deliberately set it to production. Once live, refunds and dispute decisions are real.
Why does it stop working after a few hours?
Because the token you pasted in expires. PayPal issues these for a limited window and this connector never renews one, so you have to generate a fresh token and paste it again.
How many tools does it add?
36 in the current code, a handful more than the readme lists, covering invoices, orders, refunds, products, subscriptions, shipping, disputes and transaction reports.
Can I use this to chase unpaid invoices?
Yes. Ask which ones are overdue, then have it send reminders one at a time or work through the whole list.
Which apps does it work in?
Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline and GitHub Copilot are named in the instructions, and any other app that accepts a launch command will work too.
Is it safe to let an assistant settle a dispute?
Be careful. Accepting a dispute claim refunds the buyer and closes the case in their favour with no undo. Rehearse in test mode before pointing it at your live account.
How hard is setup?
Harder than pasting a snippet. You need Node installed, and you must generate the sign-in token yourself from PayPal's developer dashboard before the configuration will work.
