GitNexus

MCP.Pizza Chef: abhigyanpatwari

Lets you give your AI coding assistant a full map of your project so it stops missing dependencies, breaking code other parts rely on, or making changes without understanding the bigger picture. You run one command to scan your project, then connect it to apps like Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or Codex. A browser-based version also lets you drop in any GitHub project and chat with it right away, without installing anything.

The nervous system for agent context.

Indexes any codebase into a knowledge graph โ€” every dependency, call chain, cluster, and execution flow โ€” then exposes it through smart MCP tools so AI agents never miss code.

Like DeepWiki, but deeper. DeepWiki helps you understand code. GitNexus lets you analyze it โ€” a knowledge graph tracks every relationship, not just descriptions.

GitNexus FAQ

Can I use this to help my AI assistant avoid breaking my code when it makes changes?
Yes โ€” GitNexus builds a map of how every file and function in your project connects, so tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Windsurf can see the full picture before editing anything.
Can I use this to explore a codebase I did not write?
Yes โ€” you can drop in a GitHub link or a ZIP file and get an interactive map you can click through, along with a chat feature that answers questions about the code.
Which apps does this work with?
It connects to Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Cline, and Roo Code, among other AI coding apps. There is also a browser-based version that works entirely on its own.
Do I need an account or an API key to use it?
The command-line and browser versions can run without one for basic scanning and exploring, but turning on the chat feature usually requires an API key from a provider such as OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini.
How hard is it to set up?
You run one command to scan your project, then one more command to connect it to your coding app. It does not require writing any code beyond copying and pasting the setup commands.
Do I need to know how to code to use this?
You do not need to write code yourself, but this tool is built for people who already work with code, since it plugs directly into a coding app.
Can I use this on a project that only exists on my computer, not on GitHub?
Yes โ€” it can scan a local folder as well as repositories hosted on GitHub, GitLab, or Azure.
Will this work on a very large codebase?
Yes for the command-line version, which is built to handle projects of any size. The browser version works best on smaller projects, roughly under five thousand files, unless it is connected to a backend.
