MCP.Pizza Chef: SAP-samples

Asking in plain language, you can list and inspect tables, views, and stored procedures on an SAP HANA database, run queries, and check on containers and cloud service instances. Around twenty-two everyday tools are offered by default, with the full set of 186 commands available on request so the list stays manageable. It plugs into Claude Desktop, VS Code, and Cursor, needs no key of its own, and reaches the database using credentials you already have.

hana-developer-cli-tool-example FAQ

Which apps does it work in?
Claude Desktop, VS Code, and Cursor, plus other assistants that support MCP servers.
Do I need an account key?
No separate key, but you do need working credentials for the SAP HANA database you want to reach.
How hard is setup?
This is a developer tool. You install the command line tool, set up your database connection details, then point your assistant at the bundled server.
Can I use this to look at a table without opening a database tool?
Yes. Ask for a table's columns, keys, and contents in plain language and it reports back.
Does it work against cloud databases?
Yes. Local SAP HANA Express, remote instances, and SAP HANA Cloud all work, including from a cloud shell.
Why only twenty-two tools when there are 186 commands?
A smaller starting set keeps your assistant focused, and the rest can be brought in on demand or switched on all at once.
