MCP.Pizza Chef: vivekVells

Ask for a file in a different format and this turns it around: notes into a Word document, a draft into a web page, a chapter into an EPUB for your e-reader, or Markdown into a finished PDF. Conversions run in both directions between Markdown, HTML, plain text, Word, RST, LaTeX, EPUB, notebooks and OpenDocument. PDF is the exception, since it can write one but not read one. Word output can follow your own template file. The project is actively maintained and was updated in mid-2026.

mcp-pandoc FAQ

Can I use this to turn my notes into a Word file?
Yes. Say which file to convert and where to save it, and it writes the .docx for you.
Can it read a PDF and convert it into something else?
No. PDF is output only, so converting out of a PDF is not supported.
Do I need a paid key?
No. Everything runs on your own computer using the free pandoc tool.
What do I need installed first?
Pandoc, and also TeX Live if you want PDF output. That second one is a large download.
How hard is setup?
The config block itself is short, but installing pandoc and TeX Live beforehand makes this more than a paste-and-go job.
Is it still maintained?
Yes. It is included in the official Model Context Protocol server list and was still receiving updates in mid-2026.
Can I reuse the same formatting every time?
Yes. You can point it at a saved settings file so every conversion comes out with the same layout options.
