MCP.Pizza Chef: getzep

Graphiti gives Claude, Cursor, and other MCP-friendly apps a long-term memory that keeps up with change. Instead of a flat pile of notes, it stores people, projects, and preferences as connected facts with dates attached, so when something is no longer true the old version is retired rather than repeated back to you. Running it means installing Python, a graph database such as Neo4j or FalkorDB, and supplying an OpenAI key.

graphiti FAQ

Which apps can use it?
The Graphiti MCP server works with Claude, Cursor, and other apps that support MCP.
Do I need a key?
Yes — it uses OpenAI to read and index your facts, so you supply your own OpenAI key.
Is anything else required?
You also need Python 3.10 or newer and a graph database, either Neo4j 5.26 or newer or FalkorDB 1.1.2 or newer.
Can I use this to give my assistant memory between chats?
Yes — that is the main purpose; facts you add stay available in later conversations.
How hard is setup?
Developer-level work: installing Python packages and running a database before your assistant can connect.
What happens when a fact changes?
Older facts are marked as no longer current instead of being deleted, so the history stays intact.
