MCP.Pizza Chef: Snowflake-Labs

This community project let people ask questions of company information stored in Snowflake — searching internal documents, pulling business numbers through a saved model, and running approved queries — from Claude Desktop, Cursor, or VS Code. It is no longer maintained, and the authors now point everyone to Snowflake's own official server instead. Anyone still running it needs Snowflake sign-in details, and an administrator decides which kinds of queries the assistant is allowed to run.

README

[DEPRECATED] Snowflake Cortex AI Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

Caution

This project is deprecated and no longer maintained. Please migrate to the official Snowflake MCP Server. The official server is actively developed, fully supported by Snowflake, and continues to add new features.

This community MCP server previously provided tooling for Snowflake Cortex AI, object management, and SQL orchestration. It is no longer supported. For all new and existing use cases, please use the official Snowflake MCP Server instead.

mcp FAQ

Is this still maintained?
No. It is marked deprecated, and the authors recommend Snowflake's own official server instead.
Which apps did it work in?
Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code, along with other MCP-compatible apps.
Do I need sign-in details?
Yes. It uses your Snowflake account credentials and respects the permissions your role already has.
Can I use this to answer a business question from our data?
Yes, that was the point — though for anything new you should use the official Snowflake server.
Can it change or delete data?
Only if an administrator allows it. A settings file lists exactly which statement types are permitted.
How hard is setup?
It expects a settings file plus connection details, so plan on help from someone technical.
