MCP.Pizza Chef: paiml

PMAT reads a codebase and produces the background an assistant needs: what the project contains, which parts are tangled, where code was copied around, and how risky each area looks. It grades technical debt from A+ down to F, scores the repository's overall health, and lets you search commit history by describing what changed. Twenty of its tools are available to Claude Code, Cline, and similar agents. It runs on your own machine and covers more than twenty languages.

paiml-mcp-agent-toolkit FAQ

Which assistants can use it?
Claude Code, Cline, and other agent tools that speak MCP. It also works as a plain command-line tool.
Do I need a key?
No — it analyses code on your own machine and asks for no key of its own.
Can I use this to judge a codebase before I take it on?
Yes — the health score and the A-to-F debt grade give you a quick read on what you are inheriting.
Which languages does it handle?
More than twenty, including Rust, TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, and C or C++.
How hard is setup?
It installs through Rust's package manager, so you need a working Rust toolchain first.
Can it check my tests are any good?
Yes — it deliberately breaks small pieces of code to see whether your tests notice.
