MCP.Pizza Chef: PostHog

Lets you ask your AI assistant about how people are using your product without digging through dashboards. Connect it to PostHog and you can pull up analytics, check which features are getting used, see error trends, review session recordings, and check feature flag status — all from a chat window in Cursor or another compatible app. Works with PostHog Cloud (US or EU) or a self-hosted instance, and you'll need a PostHog account to connect.

posthog FAQ

Can I use this to check how my product is performing?
Yes — you can ask your assistant for traffic numbers, feature usage, error counts, and more, and it will pull the current numbers straight from your PostHog account.
Can I use this to see if people are running into errors?
Yes — you can ask about recent errors, how often they're happening, and which users are affected, without opening a dashboard.
Which apps does this work in?
The developers list Cursor as tested, but it should work in any assistant that supports this kind of outside connection, including other MCP-compatible apps.
Do I need a PostHog account to use this?
Yes — you'll need a free or paid PostHog account, since this tool simply lets your assistant look at the data already in your account.
Is this hard to set up?
No — it connects through a hosted web address, so there's nothing to install and no configuration file to write.
Will this let my assistant change settings in my product, not just look things up?
It can — depending on what you allow, it can also make changes like turning a feature on for a group of users, so review what you approve before granting access.
Does this work with a self-hosted PostHog, or only the cloud version?
Yes — it works with PostHog Cloud (US or EU) or your own self-hosted instance, as long as your assistant can reach it.
Can I use this without knowing how to code?
Yes — once it's connected, you interact with it just by typing normal questions or requests to your assistant.
