Do I need a key or a login?
Yes. You create a scoped Atlassian token and pair it with your Atlassian email address. The older app-password method it also documents is now past Atlassian's own June 2026 removal date, so start with the scoped token.
Can it delete things?
Yes, and this is the thing to watch. One of the six commands is a general-purpose delete that can reach anything your token has rights over, branches included. There is no read-only setting and no confirmation step, so give the token the narrowest permissions you can live with.
Can I use this to keep on top of code reviews?
Yes. Asking for open pull requests, reading the changes on a branch and leaving a review comment are the things it does best, and they only need read access plus pull-request rights.
Does it work with self-hosted Bitbucket?
No. It is built for Bitbucket Cloud only. Bitbucket Server and Data Center are explicitly unsupported.
Does it really have separate commands for listing, searching and commenting?
No, despite how it is described. There are five general-purpose commands plus a copy-repository one, and your assistant works out the right address itself. That usually works, but it can guess wrong.
Which apps does it work in?
Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Continue and other MCP-compatible apps. You will need a reasonably recent Node installed on your machine.
How hard is the setup?
Easy enough. Paste a short block into your assistant's settings with your email address and token in it, then restart the app.
Does it put files on my computer?
It can. One command runs a repository copy into a folder decided during the conversation, so be specific about where you want things to land.
