MCP.Pizza Chef: gannonh

Facts you tell your assistant once get stored as a connected web of people, projects, and events, then come back later even when you phrase the question differently. Be aware the code has not changed since October 2025. Getting it running takes real effort: you install and run a Neo4j database yourself, point the server at it, and supply an OpenAI key so it can match ideas by meaning rather than exact words.

README

Memento MCP: A Knowledge Graph Memory System for LLMs

Memento MCP Logo

Scalable, high performance knowledge graph memory system with semantic retrieval, contextual recall, and temporal awareness. Provides any LLM client that supports the model context protocol (e.g., Claude Desktop, Cursor, Github Copilot) with resilient, adaptive, and persistent long-term ontological memory.

Core Concepts

Entities

Entities are the primary nodes in the knowledge graph. Each entity has:

  • A unique name (identifier)
  • An entity type (e.g., "person", "organization", "event")
  • A list of observations
  • Vector embeddings (for semantic search)
  • Complete version history

Example:

{
  "name": "John_Smith",
  "entityType": "person",
  "observations": ["Speaks fluent Spanish"]
}

Relations

Relations define directed connections between entities with enhanced properties:

  • Strength indicators (0.0-1.0)
  • Confidence levels (0.0-1.0)
  • Rich metadata (source, timestamps, tags)
  • Temporal awareness with version history
  • Time-based confidence decay

Example:

{
  "from": "John_Smith",
  "to": "Anthropic",
  "relationType": "works_at",
  "strength": 0.9,
  "confidence": 0.95,
  "metadata": {
    "source": "linkedin_profile",
    "last_verified": "2025-03-21"
  }
}

memento-mcp FAQ

Is this still being updated?
Not recently. The last code change was October 2025, about nine months before this listing, so treat it as quiet rather than actively developed.
Which apps does it work in?
Claude Desktop, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other assistants that let you add a memory server.
Do I have to install a database?
Yes. Everything is stored in Neo4j version 5.13 or newer, which you run yourself through Neo4j Desktop or Docker.
Do I need a paid key?
Yes, an OpenAI key. That is what lets it match your notes by meaning instead of exact wording.
Can I use this to stop my assistant forgetting my team's details?
Yes. You state the facts once and they are saved with dates and a confidence level for later recall.
How hard is setup?
Harder than most listings here. Between the database install and the key, plan on an evening rather than five minutes.
