Xiaohongshu, the Chinese lifestyle and shopping app known in English as RedNote, is normally read one post at a time in its own app. This add-on lets an assistant search it by keyword and pull the text of a specific note from its link. You log in once through a browser window it opens for you, and it remembers that sign-in. Reading comments is listed as planned but is not finished. The setup notes are written mainly in Chinese.

Do I need a RedNote account?
Yes. You sign in once in a browser window it opens, and that sign-in is saved on your computer.
Can I use this to research what people post about a product?
Yes. You can search by keyword, read individual notes, and then ask for a summary of what they say.
Which apps does it work in?
The readme shows setup for Cursor, and the same snippet works in other apps that accept MCP servers.
Is a paid key needed?
No key. It does need your own account login plus a browser component called Playwright installed first.
Can it read the comments on a post?
Not yet. The readme lists comment access as planned work that has not been finished.
Is the documentation in English?
Mostly Chinese, although an English version of the readme is linked at the top of the page.
